What fields are required in a draft?

Minimum recommended fields:

  • title, description, value (or amount in minor units), currency, contractType, and parties (emails or user IDs).
    Tips

  • Add paymentTerms and milestones early — they pre‑fill orders post‑signature.

  • Use clear acceptance criteria in the description to reduce disputes.

Can I duplicate a draft?

Yes. Open a draft → Clone.
Cloning preserves structure (terms/milestones) but not counterparty approvals or messages.
Use cases

  • Repeating SOW templates across similar engagements.

  • A/B versions for negotiation.

Can I request changes?

Yes. Reviewers add comments and change requests during the pending_review state.
Good practice

  • Use blocking vs non‑blocking (if supported) to label severity.

  • Keep the conversation inside the contract for a complete audit trail.

How do I sign a contract?

After approval:

  1. Click Sign.

  2. If blockchain‑backed, your wallet prompts for a signature (MetaMask or similar).

  3. Once all required signers sign, the contract becomes Active.
Tip: you can require a signing order (e.g., seller → buyer).

Can I revoke a signature?

No. Executed contracts are immutable.
If a mistake was made

  • Create an amendment or a new contract and reference the previous number.

  • If work didn’t start, you can close the contract by mutual consent.

What if a signer doesn’t respond?

Options:

  • Remind via the UI (sends another email).

  • Reassign signer to another authorized person.

  • Expire the request (if policy allows) and revert to draft to change terms.

Where do I download the signed contract?

Contracts → Active → Download PDF.
PDFs include signatures, dates, and a unique contract number for audit.

Do you support eIDAS or DocuSign?

  • TradeOS has native e‑signature suitable for most B2B workflows.

  • For eIDAS/QES or DocuSign/Evidos integration, use webhooks/links; full native integrations can be added in roadmap.

Can I attach appendices or exhibits?

Yes. Upload appendices during drafting or after activation (read‑only). Each appendix is versioned and included in the PDF bundle.

Can I control who can see or edit a draft?

Yes. Draft visibility follows org roles. Counterparties only see what you share during review; private notes remain in your org.
